It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mario Victor DeGhetto, known to his close family and friends as “Boy”. Mario passed peacefully on August seventeenth at the age of 91.  Mario served in the United States Navy for 4 years and was proud of his service to our country. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 63 located in Bound Brook New Jersey where he was a lifelong resident.  Mario was an active member of the community volunteering his time every Election Day and participating in the annual Bound Brook Memorial Day services and parade. He held his Roman Catholic faith close to his heart and was an active member of St. Joseph’s church and school.

He worked and ultimately retired from PSE&G after 35 years of service. Mario was an avid outdoorsman who respected the natural world. He loved to teach his family how to hunt and fish.  Upon retiring Mario cherished the time spent traveling and cruising with his wife Mary along with realizing the dream of residing in Florida during the winter.  Throughout his life Mario always found joy in the simple life, family, and the solitude of nature.
