Obituary of William R Hillsinger

William R. Hillsinger, 89, died Monday, February 7, 2022, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Somerset.  Born in Syracuse, he was the son of William E. and Mildred (Walker) Hillsinger.  William graduated from North Syracuse High School, before enlisting in the Army.  He served from 1954 - 1956.  Upon his return, he enrolled in  Le Moyne College where he majored in physics and math.  He went on to obtain his Master’s Degree from the University of Rochester and  worked as a radiation physicist at JFK Hospital in Edison for over 35 years.  William enjoyed golf, bowling, fishing and pinochle.  He was an active communicant of St. Joseph Church in Bound Brook.  William embraced technology and was thrilled with all the learning opportunities and tutorials the internet provided.  

William was predeceased by his wife Doris, in 1992.  He is survived by his three children William (Brenda), Robin and Glynis Hillsinger; his seven grandchildren Melissa, Amber, William, Leon, Chelsea, Ryan and Colby; his ten great grandchildren Ariana, Jared, Ethan, Mara, Dylan, Henry, Troy, Charles, Lynk, and Huck.  

Gathering with the family will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, February 11, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook.  A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 12, at St. Joseph Church, Bound Brook.  Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.
