Kelly Sullivan was an exceptional woman. She was affable and intelligent with an active and inquisitive mind. She was an avid reader who enjoyed travel, gardening, art, music, and good conversation. Kelly was involved in the Bound Brook Presbyterian Church and the Bound Brook Garden Club. She spent a lot of her time at their home in the Outer Banks in Corolla, North Carolina where she enjoyed reading and taking long walks on the beach with her husband and black Labrador, Tinker. While at the beach she enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She would often visit the Historic Triangle: Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown Virginia. Throughout her life, Kelly retained an infallible optimism delightfully beset by chronic humming and joyful noises. She sent still cherished handwritten- and often times, hand painted - correspondences to family and loved ones. Kelly Sullivan was a woman aware and accepting of the evolution of society and the world around her from the perch of her home that, as family and visitors would muse, remained remarkably kept and unchanged for over half a century. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Kelly will joining her husband, Dr. Arthur G. Sullivan in the family plot at Bound Brook Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date for immediate family members due to Covid restrictions. Arrangements were handled by Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, Bound Brook.
