Obituary of Charles Moskowitz
Charles Moskowitz, passed away on September 8, 2018, at his home in Middlesex. Born in Middlesex, to the late Harry and Stella Moskowitz, Charles resided in Middlesex most of his life. He graduated from Bound Brook High School in 1955. After his graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served aboard the U.S.S. Cambria APA 36 and was stationed in Norfolk, VA during peace time.
Charles was employed by RBH. He later went on to further his educations in teaching. Charles received his BA of Arts Degree from Alma White College and attended Rutgers and Michigan State University for his graduate courses. Charles taught history and geography at Green Brook High School and Watchung Hills Regional High School. Charles coached football and baseball while at Green Brook High. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper, as well as a charter member of the Middlesex Horse Shoe Club. He also was an avid Jets and Yankee fan.
Charles is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia, his son, Michael Moskowitz, and his companion Carol Allenovitch of Middlesex, his daughter Karen Sanford, and her husband Doug of Piscataway, his brother Harry Moskowitz of Indiana, his brother-in-law, Dr. John Lopis and his wife Ginny of Hawley, PA.; four grandchildren, Frank and Christopher Oliver, both of Piscataway, Andrea Cortes and her husband, Mi, of South Carolina and Stefanie Moskowitz, and her companion Iven Elias of North Carolina, as well as ten great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at the funeral home. Gathering will begin 10:00 AM Thursday followed by 10:30 AM Funeral Service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway. Memorial Donations may be made to the charity of choice in Charles honor.
