Joseph Maco, 70, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Regency Jewish Heritage Nursing and Post-Acute Rehabilitation Center in Somerset. Born in New Brunswick, Joseph was the son of Catherine (Pietrowsky) and Joseph Maco. He grew up in Middlesex, before moving to Piscataway with his wife Anne, to raise their family. A graduate of Immaculata High School and Seton Hall University, Joseph began working for the US Postal Service in 1978. He began his career in Kearny and eventually became a clerk at the Middlesex Post Office; retiring in 2006. He was a Jets and Mets fan, a die hard Seton Hall Basketball Fan, and enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia and matchbox cars. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Anne; his children Mary Riccobono, and her husband Rob; Christine Lewis and her husband Micah; Susan Maco; Joseph Maco and his wife, Ashlee; his grandchildren Anthony, Liliana and Angelina Riccobono; and his sister Margaret Maco.
Gathering with the family will be 9:15 to 10:15 AM, Monday, June 13, 2022, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook, NJ, followed by an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial of St. Frances Cabrini Church in Piscataway.
