Yasmine Hishmeh

Yasmine Hishmeh, 92, died Sunday, December 27, 2015, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge, after a long illness. Born in Ramallah, Jordan, she came to the United States in the early 1970s, settling in Middlesex. She then moved to North Plainfield. Mrs. Hishmeh was a devoted mother, concerned with raising her family. After the death of her husband, Yocob Hishmeh, who died in 1985, she worked as a self-employed seamstress, making bed linens for the community. She enjoyed cooking, but above all, caring for her family. Mrs. Hishmeh was predeceased by her sons, John and David Hishmeh, and her daughter, Tina. She is survived by her sons, Isa Hishmeh of Bound Brook, Ibrahim Hishmeh of Bridgewater; her daughters, Mona Buzma of Texas, Donna Stewart of Florida, and her many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Friday, January 1, 2016, at the funeral home. The funeral will be private.
