William J. Lore, 85 years old, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018, at his home in Bound Brook. He was born in Plymouth, Pennsylvania, on June 29, 1932, the son of John and Anna (Logue) Lore. He graduated Bound Brook High School in 1950, and Rutgers University in 1963. He worked as chief of Labor Relations for the Internal Revenue Service for thirty years, retiring in 1992. He was also a Korean War Army veteran, serving from 1950 - 1952. William was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Bound Brook, as well as a member of the American Legion and the Bound Brook Seniors Club. William was predeceased by his parents and siblings Katherine Lore Chamberlain, Dorothy Lore Goodwin, Donald Lore, Joseph Lore, Janet Lore, Ann Lore, and John Lore. He is survived by his wife, Matilda (Tillie); his daughters, Susan and her husband Ed Duchesne of Stewartsville, and Debbie and her husband John Killian of Whitehouse Station; his son, John and his wife Susan Lore of Douglassville, Pennsylvania; his sister, Jean and her husband Pat Lamaestra of Allentown, Pennsylvania, as well as his five grandchildren Mark, Will, Derek, Kelly, Matthew, and many nieces and nephews. Gathering with the family will be at the funeral home on Sunday, January 14, from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. A funeral Mass will be offered at St. Joseph Church, Bound Brook, at 10:00 A.M., on Monday, January 15, with burial to follow at Bound Brook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals.
