William Bedner

William E. Bedner, 81, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016. Born in Bound Brook, he was the son of Michael and Mary [Yurasek] Bedner. He was a 1953 graduate of Bound Brook High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and attended aviation school, earning the rank of Sergeant, as an aviation structural mechanic. After discharge, he worked for Sheet Metal Workers, Locals 20 & 27, retiring after thirty-five years as a sheet metal mechanic. Mr. Bedner was predeceased by his son, Billy, in 2012. He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Dorothy; his son, Michael; his daughters, Lisa Fago and her husband Frank, Joy Smiegocki and her husband Robert; his daughter-in-law, Becky Bedner; his grandchildren, William, Brittany, Blair, Leslie, Ava, Michael, Kara, Joshua, Charlotte, and Calvin; his beloved great grandson, Luca, and his sister, Doris Casale. Funeral services will begin 9:15 A.M. Thursday, June 23, at the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 A.M. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Bound Brook. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Bridgewater. Friends will be received at the funeral home 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. Wednesday. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Church, P.O.
