Wasyl Laszeniuk

Wasyl Laszeniuk, 90, died Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at his home in Somerset. Born in Ukraine, he was the son of Petro and Ksenia Laszeniuk. Wasyl was a supervisor at Reichhold Chemical in Elizabeth for thirty-eight years before retiring in 1989. Wasyl was predeceased by his daughter, Oksana Zemlachenko in 2016. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Anna Laszeniuk of Somerset; his daughter, Luba Hamersky and her husband Dr. Stephen Hamersky, Jr., of Hillsborough; his son in law, Michael Zemlachenko of Flemington; his five grandchildren, Laryssa and Gregory Hamersky, and Kathryn, Michael, and Irene Zemlachenko, and his family in Ukraine. Visitation with the family will be 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Hagan - Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook, with a Panachida Service at 7:30 P.M. Funeral Liturgy will begin 10:00 A.M. Friday, at St. Andrew Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 280 Main Street, South Bound Brook. Burial will follow at St. Andrew Cemetery.
