Vincent Morano

Vincent J. “Jimmy” Morano, 96, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Somerville. Born April 6, 1921, in San Donato di Ninea, Calabria, Italy, he was the son of Giovanni and Carolina Iannuzzi Morano. He came to the United States in 1937, settling in Bound Brook. Jimmy was the founder of Hamilton Tailors and Cleaners, Bound Brook, operating for thirty years, and retiring in 1988. He was a member of Bound Brook Lodge No. 1388, B.P.O. Elks, the Sons of Italy, Bound Brook, and was a faithful Communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Virgin R. C. Church, Middlesex. He was active with the Visiting Nurse Association, the Bereavement Support Group, and the Cancer Support Center, all in Bedminster. Jimmy was predeceased by his loving wife of sixty-three years, Philomena Panebianco Morano, who died in 2010. He is survived by his sons, Anthony Morano of Galloway, Frank (Vincenza) Morano of Martinsville; his grandchildren, Janine (Michael), Vincent (Maria), Vincenzina (Steven), Anthony (Michelle), and Frank (Kristie), and his beloved great-grandchildren, Frank, Annie, Alessandra, Vincenza Mia, Michael, Giancarlo, Santino, Adriana, Francesca, and Giovanna. Funeral services will be 8:45 A.M. Saturday, April 29, at the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 A.M. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin Church. Entombment will be at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway. Friends will be received at the funeral home 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Friday.
