Vincent Della Torca, 89, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Arbor Glen Holly Center, Bridgewater. Born February 13, 1927, in San Felice A Cancello, Italy, he was the son of Luigi and Annunziata Ruotolo Della Torca. He came to the United States in 1951, settling in Bound Brook. Vincent owned and operated George’s Meat Market, Raritan, for over fifty years. He was a member of the Italian American Sports Club, Bound Brook, and was their champion bocce ball player in 1967. He was a member of Lodge No. 1388, B.P.O. Elks, Bound Brook. He was a communicant of St. Joseph R. C. Church, Bound Brook. He enjoyed playing cards and rolling dice. Vincent was predeceased by his wife of sixty-one years, Pippina Izzo Della Torca, in 2012. He is survived by his son, Louis Della Torca of Bound Brook; his daughter, Annunziata “Nancy” Richardson and her husband Bryant of Bridgewater; his beloved grandchildren, Cara of Washington, D.C., Bryant of Kendall Park, Vincent and Victoria of Bridgewater, and his siblings, Pasquale, Antonio, and Lena Ianello Della Torca in Italy. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 24, from the funeral home, followed by an 11:30 A.M. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church. Entombment will be at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Wednesday.
