Victoria D’Ovidio, 83 years old, passed away on February 9, 2024. She was resident of Branchburg Township for 55 years. Victoria was born in Spinete, Italy and after immigrating to the United States, lived in Bound Brook, NJ until moving to Branchburg.
Victoria always cared for others in the most generous ways, putting their needs before her own. She loved cooking and prepared her many incredible dishes and treats for friends and family throughout the years with love and great attention to detail. She taught all her children how to cook and entertain, creating a family that never passed up an opportunity to celebrate with a gathering and a meal together.
Victoria was a resourceful homemaker, who cooked, sewed, and gardened to the amazement of all around her. To know her was to love her without hesitation. She was everything to her family, keeping them on track for holiday gatherings and important events. She nurtured a closely-knit family who always made time for one another. Victoria was very proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter.
Victoria and her husband Vincenzo celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in April of 2023. They were inseparable in the latter years of their marriage after Vincenzo retired. With two hands in the kitchen, they were always busy creating new recipes, perfecting old ones, and hosting gatherings in their home.
Victoria will be dearly missed by her husband Vincenzo, daughter Carmela Noto (Peter), sons Tony (Irene) and Vincent (Lynmarie), grandchildren Tony (Angelina), Matthew (Alaina), Jack, Kyle, Domenick, Vincent, John, Victoria, great-granddaughter Ilaria, sister Joanne DeTurris, and many nieces and nephews whose love and care she treasured.
