Victor Griguoli, 70, died Monday, July 11, 2016, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital - Somerset, Somerville. Born June 16, 1946, in Trivento, Italy, he was the son of Nicola and Filomena Mancini Griguoli. He came to the US in 1958, settling in Bound Brook. He graduated from Bound Brook High School, Class of 1966. He had resided in Piscataway since 1980. Victor was a Supervisor at the United States Postal Service Depot in East Brunswick, retiring in 2001. Prior to that he was a Supervisor for the United States General Services Administration, Belle Mead. Adept at finance, he was a Financial Officer with Primerica. Victor was a United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a volunteer Service Officer for the Department of Veterans Affairs Lyons facility. There he acted as a patient advocate, assisting in obtaining proper care and support for many Disabled American Veterans. He also volunteered for the Piscataway Township Election Polls. He was politically active with the Republican Party (GOP). Victor was a Life Member of Stevenson D’Alessio Post No. 12, American Legion, Somerville; Somerville Chapter No. 16, Disabled American Veterans, where he was Senior Vice Commander; and Tri-Boro Memorial Post No. 5479, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Dunellen. He was a baseball and basketball umpire for local teams. He was an avid bowler, holding several trophies. He was also an avid fisherman and woodworker, and enjoyed horseracing. Victor was predeceased by his brother, Tony Griguoli, who died in 1971. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-two years, Marsha Milazzo Griguoli; his son, Scott (Christina) Griguoli of Piscataway; his daughter, Dana (Glenn) Pavan of Lake Mary, Florida; his siblings, Emidio Griguoli of Middlesex, John Griguoli of Bound Brook, Mary Baker of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and his beloved grandchildren, Nicholas, Alyssa, Justin, and Julianna. Family and friends will be received 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Thursday, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 15, at the funeral home, with the Reverend Scott Walsh, Pastor of the Abundant Life Christian Center, Dayton, officiating.
