Vera Mohr

Vera June Mohr, 87, died Thursday, October 22, 2015, at Arbor Glen in Bridgewater. Born in Dunellen, she was the daughter John and Ida (Helpertz) Brueckner. Vera was a graduate of Dunellen High School, and attended the New York School of Interior Design. She worked as a secretary with American Cyanamid in Bound Brook, from 1953 to 1989. After meeting on a church committee, Vera married Charles Mohr in 1988. She had been a very active member of the Presbyterian Church in Bound Brook, serving as an elder, deacon and Sunday School teacher. She served on many church committees over the years and was a member of the P.E.O. Vera was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles in 2014. She is survived by her step children, Daniel and Cindy Mohr; Debra and Kenneth Wells; Donna and Larry Duca; David and Kim Mohr; her grandchildren, Kristen, Brandon, Kyle, and Justin; her sister, Ida Poll; brother, John Brueckner; nieces, Darlene Vlachakis and Nancy Gardener; and nephews, Joseph J. Poll Jr. and Daniel Poll. The graveside service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 23, at Lake Nelson Memorial Park, Piscataway. Visiting will be 9:00 A.M. the funeral home, prior to the graveside service. A memorial service will be held, 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at the Presbyterian Church, Bound Brook. Memorial donations may be made to the Presbyterian Church , 409 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook, NJ 08805.
