Vasantha Chella

Emily Vasantha Chella (Poppy), M.B.B.S, D.D., was born in Tanjore, India on April 18, 1932 to A.S. Johnson and Bessie Lucia Johnson. She was the second of seven children. She graduated from Christian Medical College, Vellore, India and served as a General Physician, Dermatologist and Medical Administrator. Vasantha gave her heart to the Lord Jesus as a young lady and grew in her love for Him over the years. Her greatest joy was in reading His Word. The fruit of the Spirit in her life was clearly evidenced by the manner in which she loved her family and friends. Vasantha followed her parents, her husband Manicka Chella, her brothers Nesudoss Johnson and Aruldoss Chandrahasan Johnson to God's holy presence on April 13, 2021. She is survived by a multitude of family and friends whom she loved dearly. Vasantha's heart's desire was that all family and friends should be saved through faith in Jesus Christ alone, and gather together at His feet to glorify Him through all eternity.
