Thomas Costabile

Thomas Costabile, 96, died Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Parker - McCarrick Care Center, Somerset. Born in Bound Brook, he was the son of Antonio and Carmela (Romano) Costabile. He lived in Bound Brook for eighty-three years, moving to Piscataway where he lived for five years before moving to the care center. He graduated from Bound Brook High School in 1940. He joined the United States Army in 1942, attaining the rank of Sargent, and was discharged in 1945. He worked as a butcher for ShopRite of Somerville for many years, retiring several years ago. . He was a Communicant of St. Joseph Church, Bound Brook, and was a member of the Bound Brook Indians Baseball Club, and the Thomas J. Kavanaugh Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2290, in Manville Mr. Costabile was predeceased his beloved wife Josephine in 2003, a son, Anthony, in 2010, and a grandson, Michael, in 1978. He was also predeceased by his brother and sisters. Surviving are his daughters Elaine (Peter) Barnoski of Piscataway, Theresa (Keith) Williams of Middlesex, his daughter-in-law Susan Costabile of Piscataway, his grandchildren, Jennifer Daino, Christine Ascoli, Peter Barnoski, Tim Williams, Stephen Williams, Melissa Richard, Shannon (Russ) Woerner, Dana Marti, Tom Costabile, his great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Melanie, Charlie, Jamison, Olivia and Addison and many nieces and nephews. Visiting will be on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 P.M., thr funeral home. Funeral services will begin at 8:45 AM, Thursday, February 15, 2018, from the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at Our lady of Mt. Virgin Church, Middlesex. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway. Memorial donations may be made a charity of your choice.
