Stanley J. Nadbielny, “Lefty”, a lifelong resident of Bound Brook, passed away peacefully on his 93rd birthday, October 25, 2016, with his family by his side. Lefty was a flight engineer and aircraft mechanic, serving in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked at Union Carbide Corporation, for forty-six years before retiring in 1985, and taught tool and dye making evening classes at Middlesex County Vocational School for over thirty years. He was a devoted lifelong parishioner of St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, a member of the Holy Name Society and Eucharistic Minister, Serra Club, & Bingo Volunteer. He was an avid trout and salmon fisherman, boater, and vegetable gardener. He was a leader of the Boy Scouts, Troop 44, in the 1970’s. Stanley was predeceased by his siblings, Frances (Zigmund) Mackiewicz, Joseph Nadbielny, Jessie (Nicholas) Shulack, and John (Florence) Nadbielny. He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-two years, Emily P. Nadbielny (Wlazlo); and their children, Stanley R. (Tammy Lincoln), Eleanor Nadbielny (James O’Leary) and Thomas S. (Regina McKenna); his grandchildren, Katheryn (Michael) Ambrosi and Thomas; step-grandchildren, Sean and Kelly McKenna; his sister, Beatrice (Rudy) St. Laurent, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin 9:15 A.M., Friday, October 28, 2016, the funeral home, followed by 10:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, Bound Brook. Friends and relatives will gather on Thursday, October 27, from 3:00 - 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 P.M., at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hillsborough. Memorial donations may be made to the The Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills .
