Scott D. Hibbard

March 1, 1971 — November 11, 2020

Scott David Hibbard, age 49, of South Bound Brook, passed away on Wednesday November 11, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Hibbard most recently resided in South Bound Brook. He worked in pharmaceutical marketing for Beacon Communications of Bedminster for several years. Born in Pompton Plains, to James and Kathleen Hibbard, when Scott was 10 years old, his family relocated from New Jersey to Haines, Alaska. His time in Alaska was full of adventures with his brothers and friends. After High School graduation, Scott returned to New Jersey. He was proud his life included time in both the busy cities of New Jersey and a quiet small town in rural Alaska. Scott loved being a husband and father. Married 19 years to his wife Nicole, they enjoyed a shared love of travel, antiquing, and fine dining. He loved being a father to his daughters Quinn and Paysen. He enjoyed the day-to-day activities of parenting: cheering for his daughters at their sports games and also helping with homework. He also loved fly fishing, sky diving, cooking, and telling tall tales. Scott had a wonderful sense of humor, quick wit, and was often the instigator of fun. Family and friends have many fond memories that begin with “Do you remember the time when Scott…” Scott relished opportunities to be generous and care for his family and friends, as well as fellow church members. He had a big heart and loved to bless others. In addition to his professional skills, Scott enjoyed writing poetry, playing guitar and for a time led music for his local church services. He is survived by his wife Nicole M. Hibbard, daughters Quinn and Paysen, parents James and Kathleen Hibbard, brothers and sisters-in-law Chris and Sally Hibbard and Josh and Nichol Hibbard, in-laws Howard and Carol Milius, John Milius, and Jack and Michelle Pidgeon, as well as 5 nephews and 3 nieces. He was proceeded in death by his former wife, Joy.
