Ruth Yannitte

Ruth Jelleme Yannitte, 89, passed away peacefully at home on February 29, 2024.

Ruth was born in Paterson, NJ on February 26, 1935 to Vincent and Alice (nee White) Jelleme. Ruth married Thomas Yannitte on February 11, 1955 and they had 3 children – Thomas, Clare, and Kate. She resided in Bound Brook, NJ, where she raised her children, for almost 40 years.

Ruth worked for Verizon as a telephone operator before her retirement in 2000. Ruth was a homemaker for many years before returning to Verizon.

Devoted to her family and her church, she enjoyed reading, cooking, eating and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an active member of the Woman’s Literary Club of Bound Brook and St. Joseph’s parish.

Ruth is predeceased by her parents, and her husband, Thomas.

Ruth is survived by her children Thomas and his partner Lisa, Clare, Kate and her husband Jim, and her grandchildren Brielinn, Richie, Nicholas, Anthony, Keira, Landon, and Declan. Ruth is also survived by her brother Thomas and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruth's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
