Ruth Ann “Cookie” Schuller, 69, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Somerset. Born October 13, 1947, in Somerville, she was the daughter of Albert and Margaret Sauers Godleski. A lifelong South Bound Brook resident, she graduated Bound Brook High School, Class of 1965, and Raritan Valley Community College with an Associate Degree in Nursing. Cookie worked as a registered nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, then for Integrated Health Services, Bridgewater, retiring in 2007. She loved Halloween, music, animals, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a gentle soul. She always left us saying, “Gentle breezes and blessed be.” Cookie was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her son, Justin Schuller of South Bound Brook; her brother, Anthony (Donna Marie) Godleski of South Bound Brook; her sister, Rita Godleski of South Bound Brook; her niece, Desiree (Robert) Morehead, and several cousins. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 23, at the funeral home, followed immediately by a memorial service at 1:00 P.M. Cremation was private and attended by the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center, 3201 US Rt. 22, Somerville, New Jersey 08876, or a local animal charity of your choosing.
