Ruth Schraeder

Ruth A Schraeder, 88, died Monday, February 6th, 2017. Born June 15th, 1928, in Swoyersville, PA, she was the daughter of Stanley and Nellie Maholick, and had resided in South Bound Brook since 1961. Mrs. Schraeder worked as a Quality Control Specialist for Continental Can at their Piscataway facility and was a Communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church, South Bound Brook. She was an avid reader and an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed being the matriarch of her family, the loving wife of Albert (Pop), and “Grandma” to her 9 adoring grandchildren. Mrs. Schraeder is survived by her sons, Lawrence Schraeder of South Bound Brook, Robert (Rebecca) Schraeder of Colleyville, TX; her daughters, Catherine (Cecil) Rajendra of Branchburg, Joy Schraeder of Bound Brook, and Ruthann (Steven) Crane of Bound Brook and her beloved grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, Sarah, Jillian, Barry, Jennifer, Jessica, Chelsea, and Brooke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM on Tuesday, February 14th, at Our Lady of Mercy Church, in South Bound Brook. Interment will be at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
