Ruth Nettleingham

Ruth Grace (Cruver) Nettleingham, 87, of Bellefontaine went to be with her Lord and family at 1:20 A.M. Saturday, September 2, 2017, at her home. She was born in Somerset County Hospital, New Jersey, on September 15, 1929, to the late Elwood and Grace (Snyder) Cruver. Ruth is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” Nettleingham, they were married on April 22, 1972, and had forty-five years of life together. Ruth was a tiny lady with a giant heart whose love helped to blend two families into one. Their blended family consisted of their children, Gary C. (Robin) Smith, Belinda G. Savage, Joan E. Nettleingham, Dawn M. (Keith) Ryan, and Melissa K. (Greg) Bohrer; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard David Nettleingham, and three brothers, Donald, William, and Robert Cruver. Ruth was a member of Lewistown Trinity United Methodist Church and loved to let the Lord shine through her. She loved to volunteer her time to the church and other local and community organizations wherever she felt she was needed - whether that was baking cookies for fund raisers, as a Sunday school teacher, or many of the other things she loved to do too numerous to mention. In doing so she touched and changed many lives. Pastor Debra S. Ketcham officiated a funeral service 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 6, at the Lewistown Trinity United Methodist Church, Lewistown, Ohio. Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 9, at the Pillar of Fire Cemetery, Zarephath.
