Roseanne Wowchuck

June 4, 1946 — July 9, 2014

Roseanne DeMato Wowchuck, 68, passed away at her home in Brick with her husband, Harry by her side. Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of Bartholomew and Anne (Jandoli) DeMato. A long time resident of Bound Brook, Roseanne graduated from Bound Brook High School in 1964. She received an associate degree in business from Raritan Valley Community College, and was employed at Johnson & Johnson in the financial department in New Brunswick before retiring. She was also a licensed Realtor in New Jersey. Roseanne had always been very active. She was a director of the Toms River Food Bank, a decades long mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters, played tennis, exercised at the Atlantic Club Gym, loved playing poker and taking trips to Atlantic City. She also had an uncanny knack for picking the winning horses at the track. Roseanne was predeceased by her first husband, James Czinkota. She is survived by her loving husband, Harry Wowchuck of Brick, her four step-children, Nicole and Christopher Wowchuck, Lisa Ruban and Wendi Deitch; her mentored daughter, Kristi Rambo; her brother, Bart and his wife, Georgene DeMato; niece, Stephanie, and her husband, Doug Dahms; grand nephew and nieces, Daniel, Alayna, and Jessi Dahms; and her beloved dogs, Nikki and Dudley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 12, at St. Joseph Church, Bound Brook. Entombment is private. Memorial donations may be made to St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center, PO Box 5281, North Branch, NJ 08876.
