Rose Marie Gosselin Laucik, 58, died Monday, September 29, 2014, peacefully, with family and friends at her side. Born in Perth Amboy,she resided in Colonia as a young child. In 1964, she moved to Edison, where she resided until 1996, when she moved to Warren. Rose Marie was employed as a licensed funeral director for thirty-six years. She retired in 2014 from Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, Bound Brook. Previously, she was employed at Higgins Home for Funerals in Watchung and Plainfield, and Gosselin Funeral Home, Edison, as well as numerous area firms. She was a member of the Middlesex Somerset County Funeral Directors Association as well as the New Jersey State Funeral Director Association. A devout Catholic, she was a member of Our Lady of the Mount Roman Catholic Church, Warren, having served as a Eucharistic Minister at the 8:00 A.M. Sunday Mass for many years. A lifelong nature lover, she was especially fond of every summer spent since infancy at the family camps in Beaver River and Little Rapids on the Stillwater Reservoir in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate, New York. She was a longtime member of the Adirondack Landowners Association, and in 2013, she and her husband completed their dream by having a log home built on Lake Edward in Bleeker, New York. In addition, she was an ardent animal lover, whose home was never without dogs or cats. Rose Marie enjoyed traveling, painting, furniture refinishing, stained glass, gardening, and horseback riding. She also studied Reiki, Meditation, and Psychic Medium abilities for many years under the tutelage of the Reverend Trish Woods. Her father, Armand J. Gosselin predeceased her in 1987; her grandfather, Arthur J. Gosselin in 1989; and her uncle, Dr. Eugene J. Gosselin in 1975. In addition to her beloved husband of thirty-one years, George, surviving are their two daughters, Jessica M. Dealaman and her husband, Charley, of Ruskin, Florida, and Krystina M. Laucik and her fiancee, Brian Pastor, of Stanhope; her mother, Peggy Ann Gosselin of Edison; two brothers, Dr. Edward M. Gosselin and his wife, Geri Ann, of Martinsville, and Gene A. Gosselin and his husband, Daniel Brewer of Edison; two sisters, Roberta A. Gosselin of Daniel Island, South Carolina, and Mary Ann Miskewicz and her husband, Stanley, of Edison, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and devoted friends. Visitation will be Friday, October 3, from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Funeral Services will begin 9:00 A.M. Saturday, October 4, at the funeral home, followed by a 10:30 A.M. Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount Church. Cremation will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge. Burial of ashes will be private.
