Rodger Plutar

Rodger L. Plutar, 69, died Saturday, October 11, 2014, at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Born June 21, 1945, in Elizabeth, he was the son of John Plutar, Sr., and Cathy Zabawa Plutar. He resided in the Bound Brook/Bridgewater area most of his life. He graduated from Bound Brook High School, Class of 1964, and Ohio Business School. Rodger worked as a real estate agent for RE/MAX, LLC., Warren, for forty-five years, where he achieved the Million Dollar Sales Award for twenty consecutive years. He coached for the Bridgewater Little League from 1977 - 1989. He was a member of the New Jersey Association of Realtors. Rodger was predeceased by his beloved wife, Brigitt Schultz Plutar in 2001, and his brother, John Plutar, Jr., in 1989. He is survived by his son, Rodger L. Plutar, Jr., and wife Lia, of Bridgewater. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 15, at Hagan - Chamberlain Funeral Home, with the Reverend Linda E. Owens of the Presbyterian Church, Bound Brook, officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Tuesday. Interment will be at Bound Brook Cemetery.
