Robert T. Klotzbach

Robert “Bob” Klotzbach, 87, died Friday, April 28, 2017, at Community Medical Center, Toms River, with his wife and loved ones at his side. Born September 22, 1929, in South Bound Brook, he was the son of Robert and Katherine Foley Klotzbach. He graduated Plainfield High School, Class of 1949. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He had resided in South Bound Brook most of his life moving to Manchester in 1997. Bob worked in plumbing and heating for Hauck Plumbing & Heating, Bound Brook. He then worked for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, Local No. 9, Englishtown, retiring in 1994, after forty-five years with the union. He was a member of Council 12940 - St. John the Apostle, Knights of Columbus, Lakehurst. He was a faithful Communicant of St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, Lakehurst. He enjoyed listening to audio books while traveling, driving to Point Pleasant Inlet to view the ships, and most of all, time with his family and friends. He was an active humble man with a regular routine of greeting every morning with a smile, a newspaper, a cup of coffee, and appreciation for the day ahead. Bob is survived by his loving wife of twenty years, Norma Hauck Ritzi Klotzbach; his beloved niece, Loretta (Thomas) Cole and their daughter Samantha Cole; Karen Ritzi, William Ritzi, Jr., grandchildren Megan Ritzi and Gianna Todaro, as well as many loving relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy Pongratz Klotzbach, and his daughter, Dorothy “Dodie” Klotzbach. Funeral services will be 9:30 A.M. Wednesday, May 3, at the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 A.M. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Bound Brook. Friends will be received at the funeral home 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday.
