Robert Charles Heuner (Bob)
April 15, 1937 - September 27, 2024
Bob Heuner of Bridgewater, New Jersey, was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. Bob is survived and already greatly missed by his devoted wife of 61 years, Mary. He is also survived by his beloved sister (Irene Wallace), three children (Bobby Heuner, Jeanne Marie Hamilton, and Chris Heuner), many grandchildren, friends, and pets.
Whether on family vacations or relaxing at home, Bob found and spread joy everywhere he went. He had a deep appreciation and love for nature, animals, music, and life. Aside from dedication to family, he loved strawberry shortcake, oranges, and butter on all things.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Bob met Mary at a dance where they first lit up the room, and would do so for years to come. Their love of dancing continued to shine at all of their children’s weddings.
Bob was a high school valedictorian and an accomplished student who achieved a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for many years at RCA where he authored numerous patents for integrated circuitry, as well as innovations including space program technology still in use today.
Bob was a great man. He accomplished groundbreaking things in engineering but, at heart, was a family man who loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, family, and friends.
Bob and Mary were long-time parishioners of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Bound Brook, NJ.
May Bob rest in peace with Jesus, The Blessed Mother Mary, Joseph, all the Angels and Saints, St. Jude, St. Anthony, and Family who have gone before him.
