Robert E. Haase, 86, died peacefully, January 14, 2016, at Arbor Glen, Bridgewater. Born in Bound Brook, he was the son of Theodore and Alicia (Edgerton) Haase. Robert was a graduate of Bound Brook High School, class of 1947 and attended the Valley Forge Military Academy, Pennsylvania. Mr. Haase had been an Operations Manager with Apgar Brothers Trucking and Apgar Motor Lines for forty-seven years, before retiring in 1994. He was a member of the 200 Club of Somerset County, the National Tank Truck Association, the Motor Truck Association of New Jersey, the Boy Scout Council of America, and was past president of the Washington Campground Association. He was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church, Bound Brook, serving as a Deacon and Elder for many years. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-eight years, Dollie; his children, Susan Dinkins and her husband, Ed, of Colorado; Nancy Hannon and her husband, Jim, of Lebanon; Betsy Kamienowski and her husband, Mark, of Bound Brook, and Ted Haase and his wife, Ellen, of Chatham; his grandchildren, Kristin, Eric, Kelly, Casey, Melissa, Chelsea, and Heather; his great grandchildren, Kyra, Matthew, Makenna, Autumn, Brady, Jack, Marley, Tucker, and Kealey; and his sister, Ruth Harris. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 19, at the Presbyterian Church, Bound Brook. Visitation will be Monday, 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bound Brook Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Presbyterian Church, Bound Brook , 409 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook, NJ 08805.
