Robert Brokaw

Dr. Robert Trone Brokaw, 84, died Sunday, March 6, 2016, at home. Born February 24, 1932, in Plainfield, he was the son of Robert Elroy and Hilda Trone Brokaw. He was a lifelong Bound Brook resident. Dr. Brokaw graduated from Bound Brook High School and Ursinus College, Collegeville, Pennsylvania, and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He served as a Major in the United States Army during the Korean War. His dentistry practice began in 1960, spanning thirty-four years until his retirement in 1994. He had been a member of the Bound Brook Board of Education, the Bound Brook - Middlesex Rotary Club, and the Bound Brook Congregational Church. Dr. Brokaw is survived by his loving wife, Dawn Dingman Brokaw; his children, Robert (Marion) Brokaw of Jackson, Debra Riggins of Farmingdale, Kenneth Brokaw of Tallahassee, Florida, Kathleen (Christopher) Titko of Wayne; his thirteen beloved grandchildren, Robert, Eric, Kristen, Kelly, Michael, Jason, Matthew, Shaun, Brielle, Brad, Matthew, Samantha, and Emily, and his sister, Patricia [Apgar] Springer of Florida. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, March 12, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Bound Brook Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.
