Rita Cella

Rita Pellechio Cella, 85, died Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Bridgeway Convalescent Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born November 29, 1931, in Raritan, she was the daughter of Salvatore and Rose Greco Pellechio. She resided in Bridgewater most of her life. Rita spent her earlier years raising her family, and enjoyed sewing and crafting. Later in life she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Bound Brook Elks Woman’s Auxiliary. She was a faithful communicant of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Bound Brook. She was a member of Court Gloria, Catholic Daughters of America. Rita was predeceased by her loving husband of forty-two years, Joseph J. Cella, who died in 1993. She is survived by her son, Kevin J. (Colleen) Cella of Bridgewater; her daughters, Corinne C. (Larry) Tagle of Ringoes, Andrea (Eric) Hoffmann of Bridgewater; her grandchildren, Lindsay (Matthew) Fischer, Dennis, Dillon, Madeline and Joseph, and her beloved great-grandsons, Cory and Brandon. Funeral services will be 9:30 A.M. Tuesday, June 6, at the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 A.M. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church. Entombment will be at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge. Friends will be received at the funeral home 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Monday.
