Raymond M. Sperduto, 90, died Thursday, June 29, 2017, at his home in Somerset. Born in Bound Brook, he was the son of Michael and Josephine (Capra) Sperduto. He was a graduate of Bound Brook High School, Class of 1944. Raymond was a Seaman Second Class, US Navy, serving from 1945 to 1946 and the recipient of the American Theater and Victory Medals. On May 21, 1950, he married Mary Trakowski and together they began their family. He worked as a 1st Class Machinist with Research - Cotrell for 35 years and Eagans for 10 years, before retiring in 1992. Raymond was a member of the Thomas J. Kavanaugh VFW Post No. 2290, the American Legion, Giles - Biondi Post No. 63, Bound Brook Fire Department Hose Co. No. 1 and the Musicians Union Local 204. Raymond was predeceased by his wife, Mary in 2012. He is survived by his sons, Raymond and his wife, Sue of Illinois, Wayne of California, Sharon Sperduto of Clinton, Mary Ann, and her husband, John Pazar of Middlesex; his grandchildren, Adrian, Rachel, Nicole and Marisa; his great grandchildren, Tess, Abram and Cora. A funeral mass will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Our Lady of Mercy Church, South Bound Brook. Gathering with the family will be Friday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough. Memorial donations may be made to the American Legion, Giles - Biondi Post No. 63, PO Box 867, Bound Brook, NJ 08805
