Rachel “Te” Ryan, 84, died Thursday, December 10, 2015, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Bound Brook, she was a lifelong resident. She was a secretary for Research Cottrell in Bridgewater for fifteen years before retiring ten years ago. She was a graduate of Bound Brook High School where she was head cheerleader. She still met with her high school friends, Bobbie Corsini, Helen Politica, and Claudette Jannone every two weeks. She was a Communicant of St. Joseph Church in Bound Brook. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and loved the Jersey shore and vacationing in Lavallette. She was known as the first lady of Bound Brook. She is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Frank Ryan, Sr., former mayor of Bound Brook, her son Frank Ryan, Jr., and his wife Deborah of Middlesex, her daughter, Karen Ryan of Washington, D.C.; her daughter in law, Joanne Truesdale, her brother, Ed and his wife Joan Ruberto of Bound Brook; her sister, Laura and her husband Louis Tullo of High Bridge, and her grandchildren, Racheal Ryan, Ashley Campbell, Ross Ryan, and Lauren Ryan, and many friends. Funeral services will begin 9:30 A.M. Monday, December 14, from the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church. Burial will be at Bound Brook Cemetery. Visiting at the funeral home will be Sunday, December 13, from 2:00 - 6:00 P.M. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
