Peter T. Feury III, “Pete,” 68, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2023, at his home in Bridgewater.
Born in Jersey City, Pete graduated from Immaculata High School and St. Peter’s University where he received his degree in Business. Pete was an entrepreneur, entertainment promoter and producer. As a promoter he worked to increase the audience of Cairo by producing CairoFest for many years. Pete combined his talent to promote and his love of history and volunteered for the Collings Foundation’s "Wings of Freedom Tour." In doing so, he encouraged people visit airports across the United States to tour WWII aircraft and participate in “flight experiences.” He truly enjoyed giving back to the community even at an early age. After attaining the rank of Eagle Scout, in 1972, Pete went on to volunteer as the assistant Boy Scout Master for Troop 47 out of St Joesph’s in Bound Brook. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed activities including whale watching, hiking, camping, white water rafting and skydiving.
Pete was predeceased by his parents Peter T. Feury Jr., Theresa C. (Anderson), and his brother John H. Feury. He is survived by his siblings James P. Feury (wife Maribel) and Mary Beth Phillips (husband Tom) and his nieces and nephews; James D. Feury, Matthew Phillips (wife Kaia), Meaghan Phillips and Michael Phillips.
Gathering with the family will be 7:00 to 9:00 PM, July 7th, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook. A Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, 10:00 AM, July 8th at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Middlesex. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington will follow.
