Patricia Wikander

Patricia Ann Wikander, 75, entered eternal life July 7, 2015, surrounded by her daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren. Appropriately born on Valentine's Day, Patty was an unmet friend to all. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Bound Brook. Quick-witted like her father, Patty loved to laugh; she had a huge heart and lived for her children and grandchildren. She had a life-long interest and admiration in John F. and Bobby Kennedy and found her peace since childhood at Point Pleasant Beach. An avid photographer, the walls of her home were lined with photos of her children and grandchildren. She was happiest with her grandchildren and left indelible memories with each of them. Patricia was predeceased by her mother, Catherine Murphy, her father, John A. Flynn, her son, Victor Edward, her daughter, Mary Dolores, her sister, Mary E. Flynn, and her brother, John J. Flynn. She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Perone (Benjamin), Catherine Muniz (Julio), Jennifer Wyllie (Rob), Stacey McSorley Padilla, and Amy Erin Murillo (Wallace); her treasured grandchildren; Victor and Michael, John Michael (Michelle), Ricky (Tara), Daniel and Benjamin, Julia and Richard, Robert, Bridget, Patrick and Amy, Bobby and Brielle, Olivia, Amelia and James. Patty's favorite poem, written by Aeschylus, fittingly describes our loss. "Even in our sleep, pain which cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart until, in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom through the awful grace of God." Funeral Services will begin 9:15 AM, Friday, July 10, 2015 at the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church. Burial will be at Bound Brook Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
