Onofrio Gullia, 82, died Saturday, December 15, 2018 at R.W.J. University Hospital-Somerset in Somerville. Born in Calabria, Italy, Onofrio came to the U.S. as a young man. He and his wife settled in Bound Brook to raise their children, Nella, Joe, and Dominick. Onofrio was the owner and operator of Little Italy Pizzeria in Manville for over 30 years. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Nick as he was known by his friends and family was a hard worker, had an infectious smile and was loved by all that knew him. Onforio was predeceased by his wife, Carmelina in 1992, his brother, Vince Gullia, and sisters, Anna Civeletti, and Mary Figliano. He is survived by three children, daughter Nella Colacci, her husband Matthew, and their children Maria, Rose, and Nick Colacci; son Joe Gullia, his wife Dawn, and their children Catarina and Giovanni Gullia and son Dominick Gullia and his partner Trevor Bunker; brother, Dominick, and his wife Teresa, and a sister in law Joanna Gullia, as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 8:30 AM, Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook, followed by a 9:30 AM Mass at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, Bound Brook. Burial will follow at Bound Brook Cemetery. Gathering with the family will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the funeral home.
