Nella (Rizzon) Plescia, 94, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in the Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Gilda Rizzon. Nella graduated from Bound Brook High School in 1948 and enjoyed a 30-year career as a secretary at John Wiley & Sons in Somerset, before retiring in 2003.
A proud member of the South Bound Brook Seniors Club, Nella cherished her Italian heritage, visiting Italy many times and especially savoring her experiences in the northern regions. Her home was a reflection of her love for Italy, beautifully decorated in Italian style. Nella had a deep appreciation for Opera and was an avid fan of Frank Sinatra. She was also a talented ballroom dancer, a passion she shared with her beloved husband, whom she met on the dance floor back in the fifties. Above all, Nella treasured her family, particularly the many joyful moments spent with her grandchildren as they grew up. Her warmth, love, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bill in 2016, and her brothers Armando in 1988 and Guiliano in 2017. She is survived by her daughters Michelle Moskal, Lora (Joe) Huszar, and Lisa Maselli, her grandchildren Victoria (Jose), Amanda, Heather (Jacob); her great grandchildren Leonardo and Lily; and her sister Lidia Santayana and her beloved cat, Snowwhite.
