Nazarah J. Bocchino, a longtime resident of South Bound Brook died Friday, September 9, 2022, at the age of 90. Born in Franklin Township, New Jersey, Nazarah was the daughter of the late William and Genevieve Albert. She was one of nine children; Mary, Herbert, John, Grace, Albert, Frank and is survived by Gabriel & Michael. As a dedicated resident of South Bound Brook, Nazarah was active in the community. She was a member of the South Bound Brook Senior Club, the South Bound Brook First Aid Squad Ladies Auxiliary, a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church and a dedicated member of the Rosary Altar Society. Nazarah also worked in the tax office at the South Bound Brook Municipal Building. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, whose greatest joy was her family.
Nazarah was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Louis in 2004. She leaves to cherish her sweet memories, Donna (Mario) Piazzolla, Louis Bocchino, Barbara Bocchino, Albert (Valerie) Bocchino and Lynda (Brian) Jung. Nazarah had eight grandchildren: Kyle (Marcella) Piazzolla, Kaitlyn Piazzolla, Kelly & Michael Bocchino, Nicholas & Kevin Jung and Emily & Daniel Bocchino and two great grandchildren Peyton Piazzolla and Carter Piazzolla.
Gathering with family and friends will be 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook. Funeral services will begin 9:00 AM, Thursday at the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mercy Church, South Bound Brook. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway will follow.
