Michael Duska (69) passed away unexpectedly May 1st, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital - New Brunswick. Michael was born and raised in Perth Amboy, NJ and graduated from Perth Amboy High School in 1973. Shortly after, he met the love of his life, Molly, whom he married in 1976. They settled in Bound Brook, NJ where he currently resided.

Mike was a devoted husband to Molly, a loving father to his daughters, Kristen and Ashley, and a cherished grandfather to Amalia and Gianna. His family was the light of his life, and he reveled in every moment spent nurturing, guiding, and supporting them. Whether attending their games, celebrating their achievements, or offering words of encouragement, his unwavering love and dedication knew no bounds.

Prior to retiring in 2020, Mike was a sales associate for General Flooring for 20 years. Mike was a pillar in the softball community. He coached various recreation and travel teams during the 1990s and early 2000s. He was a fervent enthusiast of sports (especially the Minnesota Vikings and Raritan Rockets) finding joy and exhilaration in every game, match, or competition he watched. Mike especially loved going to the casino, working out at the gym, and watching Fear Factor with his two favorite four-legged companions, Rudy and Wesley. You could often find him striking up a conversation with anyone around him and his infectious humor brought laughter and joy to many. Mike’s legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mike was predeceased by his parents Margaret and John Duska, his sister Susan, and wife, Molly. He is survived by his daughters Kristen and Ashley (Richard) Vellucci, granddaughters Amalia and Gianna, and sister-in-laws Lena Civitano, Robin Mauro and Fran Waller. Mike also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews, Anthony, Michael, Brian (Cassie), Frank (Dezaree), and Jessie (Keith).

Gathering with the family will be 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 7:00 - 9:00 PM, Sunday, May 5th, 2024, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 9:15 AM Monday at the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, Bound Brook. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
