May Isabel Anderson, 91, died Saturday, January 1, 2022, at home, in Bernards Township. Born in Plainfield, in 1930, she was the daughter of the late Alice Isabel Mongan. May became a member of The Order Of The Eastern Star, Bound Brook Chapter 94 in 1981. She was installed by Dorothy Anderson, as Worthy Matron from 1985 to 1986. She attended Bound Brook High School for three years before graduating from Sayville High School, Long Island, New York. May worked in Real Estate as an Executive Secretary before moving on to The Somerset County Board Of Realitors in Somerville. She was the Matriarch of The Anderson Family Farm and Apple Stand. Her greatest passions were cooking, baking, going antiquing, and spending time with her family.
May was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Edward Anderson, two sisters, Shirley Whitenack and Christel Ellis, and brother, Richard Mason. She is survived by her daughter Alice Carle and her husband, Richard, and her son William Anderson and his wife, Pat; her sister Ann and sister-in-law Bonnie Mason; six grandchildren; Melanie, Aimee and her husband, Ethan, Richard, William and his wife, Brittany, Edward and his wife, Kellye, and Jayce and his wife, Megan; and nine great-grandchildren; Brittani, Aidan, William, Alexis, Logan, Henry, Jameson, Nathaniel, and Braelyn.
Cremation was private. Arrangements were made by Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, Bound Brook, NJ.
