Mary T. Tomaro, 74, died Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital – Somerset. Born in New Brunswick, she was the daughter of John and Grace (Wainwright) Carlton.
A lifelong resident of South Bound Brook and graduate of Bound Brook High School, Mary was active within the community. For 52 years Mary was an active member of the South Bound Brook Fire Company Ladies’ Auxiliary and belonged to the South Bound Brook Seniors Club.
For over a decade, Mary worked as an auditor at the Kids r Us distribution center in Franklin. Mary loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Michael in 2016 and her brother, George. She is survived by her loving sons Michael (Jeanette), Matthew (Emilie) and Mark (Morgan); her grandchildren, Morgan, Meagan, Samantha, Abigail, Sophia, Dominick, and Olivia; and her sister Estelle “Tootsie” King.
Gathering with the family will be 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at the Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook. Services will begin 10 AM, Thursday at the funeral home, followed by an 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mercy Church, South Bound Brook. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway will follow.
