Mark Renwanz, 66, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at his home in Brick. Born in Somerville, Mark grew up in Bound Brook. He attended Bound Brook High School and graduated in 1974. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Wagner College, where he also played football. Mark worked as a B&B mechanic for Amtrak in Manhattan. He enjoyed boxing and a good meal out. But what brought Mark the most joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who would run past everyone else in the room and head straight into his arms for giant hugs.
Mark was predeceased by his parents, Roger and Grace (Luna) Renwanz and his son in law, Beau Champney. He is survived by his lifelong partner Maria Scipione; his daughters Lee Ann Wertheim and her husband Brian; Danielle Earl and her husband Brian; Alexandra Donnarumma and her husband Justin; Nancy Gatti and her husband Phil; Danielle and Ashley Scipione; his grandchildren Antonia, Finnley, Isabella, Philip, Nica, Theo, and Mason; sisters Andrea Boyle and her husband Bob; Marsha Renwanz and Ingrid Renwanz and his nephews.
Gathering with the family will be 4:00 – 7:00 PM, Monday, May 22, 2023, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook. Friends will be received at 9:30 AM, Tuesday, May 23, 2023, with the funeral service beginning at 10:00 AM. Cremation will be private.
