Marilyn Corcoran

Marilyn Corcoran, 75, died Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Bound Brook and raised in Middlesex, Marilyn was the daughter of Stephen and Estelle Czernikowski. She was a graduate of Bound Brook High School, class of 1961. In 1977, she moved to Whitehouse Station with her husband, James to raise their two children. Marilyn worked as a receptionist at Hunterdon Hills Animal Hospital for close to 30 years, before retiring in 2013. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and spending time with her family was her greatest joy. Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, James in 1981. She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Corcoran-Gardella, and her husband, Richard Gardella of Middletown; her son, James Corcoran, and his wife, Patricia Donnelly of Edison; her grandsons, Caden and Colton; her sister, Joan Resch, and her husband Tom; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved and loyal Golden Retriever, Bella. Gathering with the family will be 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, January 3, 2019, at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:00 AM, Friday, January 4th, at St. Helena Church, 950 Grove Ave., Edison. Burial at Bound Brook Cemetery will follow.
