Marie Healy

Marie F. Healy, 90, died peacefully Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at home. Born March 11, 1925, in Newark, she was the daughter of Joseph and Christina Ronecker Schweitzer. She resided in Bridgewater before moving to Bound Brook in 1973. Marie was a secretary for the Somerset County Board of Social Services for 25 years, retiring in 1992. She enjoyed baking, and is especially remembered for her cheesecakes. She was a faithful Communicant of St. Mary of Czestochowa R. C. Church, Bound Brook. Marie was predeceased by her husband, Maurice Healy, who died in 1997. She is survived by her son, Paul (Karen) Healy of Raritan; her daughters, Maureen (Joseph) Barna of Marietta, GA, Geraldine (Kenneth) Sitarik of Succasunna; and her brother, Joseph Schweitzer of Pt. Pleasant. Marie was loved and cherished by her grandchildren, Amy, Joseph, Debbie, Keri, Donna, Greg, Susan, and Cheryl, and her devoted 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 9:30 A.M. Monday, June 29, at Hagan - Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook, followed by a 10:00 A.M. Funeral Mass at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church. Interment will be at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater. Friends will be received at the funeral home 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Sunday.
