Marie V. Davidson, 77 died Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Cooperstown, NY, she was the daughter of Alton and Ida (Ward) Davidson. A longtime resident of Middlesex, she graduated from Bound Brook High School in 1956. Miss Davidson was a lab technician with National Starch and Chemical Co. in Bridgewater, before retiring. She was very active with Deborah Hospital, volunteered with many homeless shelters, Habitat for Humanity, was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Bound Brook, and was a den mother with the Cub Scouts for many years. Her true passion was farming monarch butterflies. She would find the eggs on milkweed leaves, nurture them though their life cycle until they emerged as butterflies and would lovingly release them. She would also give the chrysalises to friends and schools for all to enjoy. Miss Davidson was predeceased by her brothers, Robert, Andrew, and James Davidson. She is survived by her brother, John of Hartwick NY, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a great-great niece. A Memorial Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 4, at the Presbyterian Church, Bound Brook. Cremation was private. Memorial donations may be made to Deborah Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015 - 0820.
