Marie Colombaroni

Marie Celeste Colombaroni (nee Sabatino), 83, of Bound Brook, New Jersey passed away peacefully on January 2, 2023.  Born in Plainfield and raised in nearby Middlesex, New Jersey, Marie graduated from Bound Brook High School in 1957.  She worked for more than 30 years as first, an administrative assistant and then later, as an office manager for the Union Carbide Corporation in Piscataway, New Jersey.  Marie was an avid reader, a gourmet cook, and a fanatical supporter of the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers and Philadelphia Eagles.  She had a keen interest in political debate and was a person of great wit and sardonic humor.  She loved to travel, garden, watch classic movies, and spend time with her vast, extended family.

Marie was predeceased by her parents, Maria (Palumbo) and Philip Sabatino, as well as her sisters Celeste, Bibbianna, Jenny, and Gerri, and her brothers John and Alfred.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, David; her daughter Kelly Clark and husband Peter Wilkins of Bound Brook; her grandchildren Cal and Riley; her brother Edmund and wife Penny Sabatino of Red Hook, New York; her sister Carmela "Dolly" and husband Michael Renda of Mequon, Wisconsin; and more than three dozen nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Cremation was private.  A memorial service  will be held in the spring.  Memorial donations in Marie's name may be made to St. Paul Episcopal Church, 214 Church Street, Bound Brook, New Jersey 08805.  Arrangements were handled by Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, Bound Brook, New Jersey.
