Maria Quinones

Maria Quiñones, 75, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on September 21,2020. Born in Yauco, Puerto Rico on March 23, 1945, she was the daughter of Juan and Aracelis (Feliciano) Ortiz. Maria moved to Bound Brook in 1963, with her husband, Eligio and together they raised their family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law. Maria was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Bound Brook. She enjoyed reading, watching her Spanish telenovelas and listening to music. Maria is preceded in death by Manadlie Elise and Marc Anthony. Maria is survived by her husband of 57 years, Eligio; her children Eligio Quiñones, Jr and his wife Maritza, Julia Muñoz and her husband Willie, Millie Flores and her husband Luis and Anthony Quiñones and his wife Cathy; her grandchildren and great grandchildren Enrique, Marcalis, Kistina, Joey, Brianna, Luis Jr., Jason, Victor, Ariella, Urijah, Catalina, Saelah, Eli, Camila, Valentina, and Lylah. Gathering with the family will be 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org We kindly ask that face masks be worn while visiting, to be mindful of physical distancing guidelines, and for visitors to minimize time spent indoors to allow everyone a chance to pay their respects.
