Maria Espada

Maria Luisa Espada, 58, died Monday, August 25, 2014, at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born March 15, 1956, in Mexico, she came to the US during the 1970’s, settling in New Jersey in 1987. Mrs. Espada was a beautician at Crossroads Hair Fashion Center, Piscataway. She was very active with the Zarephath Christian Center, serving the Spanish Ministry, coördinating My Neighbor’s Pantry, and working with Athletic Advance. Maria was predeceased by her father, Modesto Badillo. She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Abel Espada; her sons, Samuel (Veronica) and Obed (Sharlene); her daughter, Esli; her mother, Eugenia Hernandez Badillo and her brothers, Alberto, Alfonso, Eddie, Alejandro, Hector, and Jose Luis. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Thursday, August 28, at The Life Center, 10 Chapel Dr., Zarephath, NJ 08890, with a funeral service beginning at 7:00 P.M. Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, at Pillar of Fire Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Spanish Ministry at Zarephath Christian Center, or Athletic Advance, Zarephath, NJ 08890.
