Maria “Molly” Duska January 6, 1954 – September 14, 2018 Maria “Molly” Duska (64) passed away peacefully September 14, 2018, surrounded by family at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital-Somerset after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born January 6th in San Donato, Italy, Molly immigrated to the United States with her parents in January of 1955. Molly graduated from Bound Brook High School in 1972. She went on to aviation school in Minneapolis, Minnesota to become a stewardess. Upon graduation, she met the love of her life, Michael, whom she married in 1976. They settled in Bound Brook and had two daughters, Kristen and Ashley. For the last 20 years, Molly was employed as a contractor for Johnson and Johnson where she held the title of office ergonomist, helping to ensure the comfort and safety of countless employees. Molly especially loved cooking for her family, gardening, crafting, trips to the beach, walks with her loyal companion Rudy, summer Sundays at the pool, and going to the Sands Casino. Her kind and nurturing spirit will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her. Molly was predeceased by her parents Assunta and Francesco Mauro. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Michael, her daughters Kristen and Ashley (Richard) Vellucci, sisters Fran Waller and Lena Civitano, and brother John (Robin) Mauro. Molly also leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews, Anthony, Michael, Brian (Cassie), Frank (Dezaree), and Jessie. Gathering with the family will be 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 9:00 PM, Monday, September 17, 2018, at the funeral home. Funeral Services will begin 9:15 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, Bound Brook. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway. Memorial donations may be made to the Martinsville Rescue Squad, 1771 Washington Valley Rd, Martinsville, NJ 08836 or the Steeplechase Cancer Center Infusion Suite, 30 Rehill Ave, Somerville, NJ 08876.
