Margaret Mary Fehr, 84,died Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Arbor Glen, Bridgewater, surrounded by her family. Born May 11, 1933, in Jersey City, she was the daughter of Francis and Mary Wroble Fahy. She graduated from Lincoln High School, Jersey City, in 1951, and Jersey City State Teachers College in 1954, with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education. Margaret taught at Jefferson Elementary School in Plainfield, from 1954 to 1958, and later taught English as a second language in the Bound Brook Adult Education school system. She had many hobbies, including rug hooking, stenciling on velvet, gardening, and baking, but her main passion was quilting. She was a member of the Hunterdon County Quilting Guild and served in many positions, including Secretary, Vice-President, and Program Chairman. Margaret was predeceased by her daughter Kathleen, her brother Francis, and her sister-in-law Florence. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-three years, William W. Fehr, her son Kevin and daughter-in-law Barbara Mattera Fehr of Hillsborough, and her sister-in-law Clara Fahy of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Funeral services will be 8:45 A.M. Friday, September 1, at the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 A.M. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin Roman Catholic Church, Middlesex. Interment will be a St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Bridgewater. Friends will be received 5:00 - 9:00 P.M. Thursday, at the funeral home.
