Margaret Jakoplic, 98, passed away at home surrounded by family on May 5, 2023.
Margaret grew up in South Bound Brook and graduated from Bound Brook High School, class of 1942. She was an executive secretary at Union Carbide, Piscataway, NJ. Margaret lived in Bridgewater, NJ for over 50 years and attended Martinsville United Methodist Church. Some of her favorite hobbies were garden club, canasta, quilting and stamping. Her hand-made cards made every occasion special. Margaret was a caring person, always happy, loved to smile, laugh, and have fun. She was an excellent cook and loved any occasion to entertain family and friends. She loved to play both outdoor and indoor games and go sledding in the winter. She cherished her weekends on Long Beach Island for over 70 years and always made every trip and occasion special. Margaret was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who cherished time with her family.
Margaret was predeceased by her sister Kathryn Kinstler in 2020. She is survived by her husband of 66 years Charles (Highland Park); daughter Susan Jakoplic & daughter-in-law Joyce Dalton (Highland Park); grandsons Jeffrey & Andrew Dalton; daughter Laurie Jakoplic & partner Mary Klunk (Dayton, OH); brother & sister-in-law Alice & Frederick Swan Jr. (Bridgewater),
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 16th at 10:30 a.m. at the Highland Park Reformed Church, 19 South 2nd Avenue, Highland Park, NJ
